Melek Somai

Co-Director, Inception Health Labs ;Assistant Professor of Medicine, Medical College of Wisconsin ;Head of Engineering, Inception Health and Froedtert Health

Melek Somai is the principal in digital health engineering at Inception Health. He holds also the position of Assistant Professor of Medicine at Medical College of Wisconsin. Dr Somai’s expertise is in health informatics and data engineering.

Idris Bachali Losada is a collaborator on this project. Specifically, he has written Jupyter Notebook files examining longitudinal COVID-19 trends in individual countries throughout the MENA region.

Nadine Ben Messaoud is a Data Science Intern with the Global Institute for disease Elimination and The Tunisian Center for Public Health. She Holds a master’s degree in Public Health from University of Sunderland in London (UK).

Zied Mhirsi is the MENA Region lead at Global Health Strategies as well as a board member of the Tunisian Center for Public Health.

Jessica Miller

Student Research Assistant at Medical College of Wisconsin and 2021 Kohler Research Scholar

Jessica Miller is a medical student at the Medical College of Wisconsin interested in a global health career. Miller has gained exposure to cultural diplomacy and grassroots initiatives through the Critical Language Scholarship and MENAR Fellowship. Additionally, she is supported by the Dr. Elaine Kohler Summer Academy of Global Health Research for the Summer of 2021.

Khouloud Ben Alaya is a public health consultant at Global Health Strategies working with the Global Institute for disease Elimination. She is a medical doctor, a family health specialist and a holder of master degree in health law

Advocacy and Communications Manager, Global Institute for Disease Elimination (GLIDE)

Priya Kanayson is Advcoacy and Communcations Manager at the Global Institute for Disease Elimination (GLIDE), based in Abu Dhabi. She is a public health policy and advocacy specialist with experience in the global health and development space and a proven track record of cultivating relationships with high-level partners and building consensus for effective advocacy and policy outcomes.

Senior Programme and Partnership Manager, Global Institute for Disease Elimination (GLIDE)

Dr Shona Wynd is the Senior Programme and Partnership Manager at the Global Institute for Disease Elimination (GLIDE), based in Abu Dhabi. She has over 25 years of experience in global health, policy and programme development and analysis, partnership building, and aid architecture.

Simon Bland

Simon Bland is the CEO of the new Global Institute for Disease Elimination (GLIDE), based in Abu Dhabi. He has over 40 years of experience in international development, straddling marine and natural resource management, development economics, and global health.
